THE ARK (0-3 years old) God Loves Me Curriculum All children in The Ark will be introduced to God's love. Babies are cuddled while toddlers are gently encouraged to join the "circle." The God Loves Me curriculum provides a short age-appropriate story followed by a simple prayer. The children learn to fold their little hands and bow their heads in prayer. Learning through play, the children will participate in a movement/art/music activity about the story heard. Never underestimate the mind of a two-year-old! K4-K5 We Believe Curriculum In the fall quarter, the children will study the following messengers of God: Joseph, Moses and Aaron, Deborah, Elijah, Amos, Isaiah, Micah, Jeremiah, Esther, and Zechariah. The winter quarter looks at the messages of Jesus‘ birth to Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, and the Wise Men, the messages of Simeon and Anna and John the Baptist, as well as Jesus‘ message through the Sermon on the Mount. The spring quarter focuses on the events of the Transfiguration and Holy Week during the sessions in Lent and then spreading the message to the world through Paul's travels and letters. 1st and 2nd GRADE We Believe Curriculum This class has their own version of the We Believe series (see K4-K5 above). 3rd-5th GRADE We Believe Curriculum This class also has their own version of the We Believe series (see K4-K5 above).
6th-12th GRADE We Believe for Youth by Burns and DeVries This new quarterly curriculum for fall, winter and spring connects faith questions collected from Presbyterian youth with questions from The Study Catechism: Confirmation Version. Young people will bring their questions to the Bible and learn to navigate Scripture as they address issues of life and faith.
